Dr. Randy A. Poncher has recently been hired at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist. He attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

The Coeur d'Alene office of Sterling Savings Bank has recently hired Halon Bunyard as a business banker II. He has over 35 years of banking experience and previously worked as a commercial loan broker for Far West Mortgage and a loan officer for Norwest Mortgage Bank in Boise. Bunyard is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University.

Michael Metcalf has recently been hired at Harbor Financial Services as a member of the wealth transfer unit. Metcalf has 24 years of experience in the life insurance and securities industry and was previously vice president of human resources for Hospitality Associates Inc.

He is a 2000 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internship and residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 2004. d'Hulst has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

North Spokane Women's Clinic has recently hired Dr. Ronald D. Hardy in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Utah and completed his internship and residency at the Memorial Hospital of South Bend in 2000. Hardy has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Walter A. Fernau III, has recently joined Rockwood Clinic in the practice of family medicine. Fernau is a 1980 graduate of the University of Washington and completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. He has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

The Spokane Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has recently hired Scott Bosshardt as a sales associate. He has 15 years of experience in the automotive finance and insurance industry.

The Lilac Bloomsday Run Association has recently hired Don Kardong has its race director. Kardong has been serving as the executive director of the Children's Museum of Spokane and will remain as the board director of the museum, which will be looking for a new executive director.

Spokane County Public Defender Carol Huneke has recently received the President's Award from the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Huneke receive this award for her refusal to conduct a trial unprepared, citing high public defense caseloads. She is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin.

Magner Sanborn Renouard has recently won two Telly Awards. The firm received a Silver Telly Award for Washington Trust Bank's "A Bank is Not" commercial and a Bronze Telly Award for the bank's "Mechanical or Personal" commercial.

Peter Jackson, CEO of Foundation Northwest, has recently stepped down from his position with the nonprofit to focus on consulting and teaching. Jackson has been with Foundation Northwest for 14 years.
